No matter how careful you are with your finances sometimes mistakes happen. We offer this program to give you the extra piece of mind that your accounts are in good shape and you will not be bouncing any checks.
- Overdraft Privilege is a discretionary courtesy provided by The First National Bank of Bells Savoy. Should you accidentally overdraw your Free Checking account, The First National Bank of Bells Savoy will pay your checks up to $400.00 overdraft (negative) balance, $700.00 overdraft (negative) balance for other eligible Personal Checking accounts as long as you have qualified for the overdraft privilege. There is no fee for this service unless you use it. If a check is presented and the funds are not available to cover the check, the bank will charge you the regular (NSF) fee of $30.00 and pay the check for you. This will save you from having to pay additional fees to the merchant or payee.
- The First National Bank of Bells Savoy may refuse to pay an overdraft for you at any time, even though your account is in good standing and even though we may have previously paid overdrafts for you. We are not obligated to pay any item presented for payment if your account does not contain sufficient collected funds. Eligibility is limited to personal checking accounts.
